No. The antimicrobial treatment protects the cloth itself from odor, staining, mold and mildew. It doesn’t disinfect the surface you wipe. Where your protocol calls for disinfection, use a registered disinfectant.

The I.C. Antibacterial Microfiber Cloth is a 10 in. by 10 in. cleaning cloth for the things everyone touches: displays, tablets, phones, keyboards, ESD mats and shared workstations. It is for electronics benches and quality departments, labs, offices and healthcare desks that need a lint-free wipe for routine cleaning.

The fine polyester and polyamide microfiber (80/20) lifts dirt, grease and smudges and holds them in the cloth instead of pushing them around, and it is gentle enough for delicate, sensitive surfaces without scratching. Use it dry for dust, or pair it with I.C. Workstation Cleaner for fingerprints, grease and flux on mats, terminals and flat panel displays.

The cloth is treated with AEGIS antimicrobial technology, which protects the cloth itself from the bacteria that cause odor, staining and early wear, and from mold and mildew in humid conditions. The treatment is bonded to the fibers and stays effective through repeated washing, so the cloth can be reused many times between launderings. The cloth does not disinfect the surfaces you wipe.
