Questions crews ask

FAQ

Which one should I pick?
SPF 15 Lime Scent uses avobenzone and octinoxate and is water resistant for 40 minutes. SPF 30 Vanilla Scent uses five UV filters and gives a higher SPF. Both come in boxes of 36.
How do I use it?
For SPF 15: apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply at least every 2 hours. Children under 6 months: ask a doctor. For SPF 30, follow the directions on its Drug Facts label.
Is it water resistant?
The SPF 15 balm is not labeled water resistant. Its label says to use a water resistant sunscreen if you’re swimming or sweating.
Does SPF 15 lower my skin cancer risk?
The SPF 15 balm has been shown only to help prevent sunburn, not skin cancer or early skin aging. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging, so cover up and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen on the rest of your exposed skin, such as I.C. Industrial Sunscreen SPF 36.
Can I leave it in the truck?
Protect it from excessive heat and direct sun.

The details

Sunscreen for the spot crews forget

I.C. Sunscreen Lip Balm is a pocket stick for people who work in the sun: linemen, ironworkers and laborers, pipeline and field welders, arborists, surveyors and military units. Crews put sunscreen on their arms, neck and face and skip their lips, which take the same sun and wind all shift.

It comes in two formulas, both Broad Spectrum and made in the USA. SPF 15 Lime Scent uses avobenzone 2% and octinoxate 7.5%; per its Drug Facts it moisturizes dry and chapped lips and helps prevent sunburn, and it is water resistant (40 minutes). Its balm is coconut oil, sunflower oil, beeswax, ozokerite and shea butter with vitamin E. SPF 30 Vanilla Scent uses avobenzone 3.0%, homosalate 7.5%, octisalate 5.0%, octocrylene 2.5% and oxybenzone 6.0% and helps prevent sunburn, in a balm of beeswax, coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter and cocoa butter. Both are designed to go on light, with no streaks.

Each stick is pocket size (SPF 15: .16 oz / 4.67 g; SPF 30: .15 oz) for the truck, the trailer or the tool crib. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply at least every 2 hours, and pair it with I.C. Industrial Sunscreen SPF 36 for the rest of your exposed skin. Ask sales support about crew and distributor pricing.
