IR3535 at 20%. It’s an EPA-registered insect repellent, EPA Reg. No. 70759-3-91651.
Spray or lotion: which should my crew use?
The spray goes on fast and dries fast. I.C. Insect Repellent Lotion (10% IR3535) is rubbed on, with no overspray, and FR-clothing compatibility (ASTM F2621 and D6413) is on its EPA-accepted claims list. The spray is also combustible. For crews in arc-rated FR clothing, we recommend the lotion.

The details

A fast-drying repellent spray for long days outside

I.C. Insect Repellent Spray is made for workers who need long-lasting protection outdoors and want it on fast: storm-cleanup and tree crews, grounds crews, field units, large-animal vets, collections and water crews, and anyone who works long days in mosquito and tick country. A spray is the quick way to cover exposed skin before you head out.

It is an EPA-registered insect repellent with IR3535 (20%), EPA Reg. No. 70759-3-91651, that repels mosquitoes and ticks for up to 8 hours, including mosquitoes and ticks that can transmit diseases such as dengue fever, Lyme disease and West Nile. EPA classifies IR3535 as a biopesticide. The odorless spray is non-greasy and non-tacky, applies smoothly and dries fast. For your face, spray your palm and rub it on; never spray the face directly. If you use sunscreen, put it on first, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then apply the repellent. It does not kill insects; it repels them.

The spray was tested with lineman's rubber insulating gloves (ASTM D120), and FR fabric results (ASTM F2621 and D6413) are on file. It is combustible, so keep it away from heat and open flame. It is made in Scottsdale, Arizona, in our EPA establishment (91651-AZ-001) and FDA registered facility, and comes in 2 oz, 4 oz and 8 oz spray bottles, 16 oz and 32 oz trigger sprays and a gallon with a hand sprayer. Available direct, through distributors and on GSA MAS contract 47QSMS24D0078.
