What is it for?

Storing liquid product, solutions, cleaning solutions or solvents in a cleanroom or static-sensitive area. The round shape lets you get gels out with a spatula.

Round or square storage bottle?

Round bottles are for liquids and gels. The square storage bottles are made for powders and solid product.

Can I fill it with IPA or other solvents?

MDPE is chemical resistant, and in a seven-day exposure test with TCE, MEK and IPA there was no color or physical change. Check the ESD Bottle Chemical Resistance Chart for your solvent. Some ESD bottles degrade over time depending on the solvent and how often they are used. The bottles are not ATEX rated.

What makes it static dissipative?

It is molded from MDPE with an antistatic additive that contains no amines or amides. Average surface resistivity is 10⁹ to 10¹⁰ ohms/sq, with an average static decay of 0.5 seconds at 40% relative humidity. It supports an ANSI/ESD S20.20 program; it does not certify a workstation on its own.

Liquids and gels, stored inside the ESD area

I.C. ESD Round Storage Bottles hold lab cleaning solutions, liquid product and gels in cleanrooms, sterile areas and static-sensitive workstations. The cylinder shape lets you scrape out every last bit of a liquid or gel with a spatula or tool, and the lid seals to keep contents in and contamination out.

The bottle is static dissipative, with an average surface resistivity of 10⁹ to 10¹⁰ Ω/sq and an average static decay of 0.5 seconds at 40% RH, and it holds contents up to 160°F. Its antistatic concentrate contains no ethoxylated tertiary amine, the agent widely used in other antistatic bottles, so it avoids the drawbacks of surfactant-laden materials.

Sizes run 2, 8, 16 and 32 oz (RSB-2-ESD, RSB-8-ESD and RSB-16-ESD at 50 per case; RSB-32-ESD at 12), each with a lid, and all four are on GSA MAS contract 47QSMS24D0078. I.C. ESD bottles are molded from MDPE compounded with an ESD additive that gives them their blue tint and static dissipative property, and they are supplied by R&R Lotion of Scottsdale, Arizona, since 1983.

Directions for use

Unfasten lid from bottle to fill the ESD bottle with solution or solvent.
Tightly refasten the lid to seal and store contents from contamination or electric discharge.
