Guests notice the shower. They may not remember the art on the wall, but they remember a body wash that smelled good, a shampoo that rinsed clean and a conditioner that didn’t leave their hair flat. They also notice the opposite: watery soap, a harsh smell, an empty dispenser.
For housekeeping leads and purchasing managers, the shower is also a supply problem. Thousands of rooms, tiny bottles, half-used leftovers and a cart that’s always short on something. This post covers what to look for in hotel bath amenities, how to keep them stocked, and what to say, and not say, about them.

Dry skin is common, especially in cold or desert climates. AAD’s dermatologist tips for dry skin include keeping showers to 5 to 10 minutes in warm water, not hot, and putting on moisturizer right after. Some properties put a small card in the bathroom with tips like these. Guests appreciate it.

So when you write the in-room card, the spa menu or the website copy, stick to cleansing, feel and scent:

They can be, if you maintain them. Don’t top off a half-empty dispenser. Empty, rinse and dry it first, or use sealed refills, and check them on every room turn.
Body wash, shampoo and conditioner each come in 16 oz and 32 oz pump bottles and 1-gallon refills.
No. FDA treats products promoted to grow hair or prevent hair loss as drugs. Keep amenity copy to cleansing, feel and scent.
